What data the app handles
Data you enter
- Bowel movement logs (date/time, optional notes).
- App settings (e.g., reminders, Face ID lock preference).
Where it’s stored: only on your iPhone/iPad using Apple’s local storage. SimplePoo does not send this data to our servers.
Purchases
- When you buy the Lifetime Unlock, Apple processes the transaction.
- We receive only a non-identifying purchase entitlement to unlock features. We do not receive your name, email, card details, or Apple ID.
Support messages
If you email us, we will use your email address and the content of your message to reply. These messages reside in our email system.
Permissions the app may request
- Notifications: to send optional daily reminders. You can change this anytime in iOS Settings.
- Face ID / Passcode: to lock/unlock the app locally. Biometric matching happens on your device; we never see biometric data.
- Files/Share Sheet (export): only when you export CSV/PDF and choose a destination. We do not upload exports anywhere.
Currently there is no cloud sync. If we add iCloud in a future version, it will be opt-in and this policy will be updated.
How we protect your data
- Your data lives only on your device and is protected by iOS Data Protection (device passcode/Face ID).
- If you enable the app lock, Face ID/Passcode restricts access within the app.
- We do not run servers for your app content.
Your choices & controls
- Delete: remove entries in the app or use Delete All Data in Settings.
- Export: create CSV/PDF files from within the app and save/share them where you choose.
- Notifications / Face ID: toggle anytime in app settings (and OS settings for notifications).
- Purchases: use Restore Purchases on any device signed in with the same Apple ID.
Children
SimplePoo is intended for general audiences and not directed to children under 13 (or the relevant age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International users & transfers
We do not transfer your app content to our servers. If you contact us by email, your message may be processed by our email provider(s) in the EEA or other jurisdictions with appropriate safeguards.
Legal bases (EEA/UK)
- Performance of a contract — providing the app’s core features you request.
- Consent — sending notifications; using Face ID; any optional features you enable.
- Legitimate interests — app security and basic functionality (e.g., local storage).
You have rights to access, correct, delete, and export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email support@simplepoo.com.
Third parties we use
- Apple (App Store / StoreKit / iOS biometrics & notifications): purchases and operating-system services.
- Email provider: only if you contact us.
We do not use advertising networks, analytics SDKs, or social tracking.

Changes to this policy
If we make material changes (e.g., add iCloud sync), we’ll update this page and change the effective date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
